PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the HR team and is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and expertise to both employees and leaders at the direction of the Human Resources Manager. The role involves handling various HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and programs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Onboarding & Employee Relations:

  • Facilitates onboarding, orientation for new employees.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee relations issues and grievances.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Prepare and maintain records of corrective actions and resolutions.

Payroll and Benefits:

  • Facilitate bi-weekly payroll changes for CAD Domestic staff and monthly payroll changes for Overseas staff
  • Assist the HR Manager in administering and communicating employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Prepare mandatory records related to benefits when required.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the organization's compensation structure.
  • Conduct salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation packages.

Training and Development:

Coordinate and/or deliver training sessions on various HR-related topics.

Compliance and Policy Development:

  • Stay up to date with labor laws and regulations to help ensure World Renew’s compliance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Assist the HR Manager with coordinating internal and external compliance audits.
  • Generate compliance reports for management and external agencies.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, performance feedback, and coaching.

HR Projects and Initiatives:

  • Participate in HR-related projects, such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee engagement surveys, and HR system implementations.
  • Support organizational change initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 4-6 years of varied HR experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Must be familiar with various HRIS systems and be able to learn new systems quickly.
